The Chiefs have remained undefeated through October despite having a shorthanded roster due to injuries. The Chiefs traded with the Tennessee Titans for DeAndre Hopkins in Week 8 to help quarterback Patrick Mahomes lead an offense that is without its top two wide receivers, Marquise Brown and Rashee Rice. On Thursday, the Chiefs revealed their Week 9 injury report. Mahomes was listed as having an issue for the first time all season. The two-time league MVP is dealing with an ankle injury.
Mahomes was listed as a full participant at practice despite the ankle injury. That’s good news for his prospects to play against the Buccaneers. However, due to the nature of the issue being an ankle, the 29-year-old quarterback could have issues with mobility during the game Monday night.

The former first-round pick has added 139 yards and one touchdown on the ground. The Buccaneers defense could give Mahomes and the Chiefs a chance to gain some momentum in November. Tampa Bay averages giving up the 28th most points per game (26.6).
