BREAKING : Top-3 Kansas City Chiefs Trade Targets Ahead Of NFL Deadline

The Kansas City Chiefs have already made two big moves ahead of the Nov. 5 NFL trade deadline, and they may not be finished adding to their roster.

As they continue their quest for an unprecedented three-peat, the repeat champion Chiefs recently traded for veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and edge specialist Josh Uche. Now, according to two NFL insiders, the Chiefs are reportedly looking to add another skill position player to the mix.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the Chiefs are “monitoring” the cornerback market, Longtime NFL insider Tony Pauline of sportskeeda.com bolstered this on Thursday, noting the “Chiefs will look to bring in a cornerback before the deadline.”

A recent injury to starting cornerback Jaylen Watson, to a broken tibia and fibula, is a significant reason for such a move

Here are three cornerbacks who could come in and fill the void as last-minute additions ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

Jonathan Jones, New England Patriots

The New England Patriots should be sellers right now, sitting at 2-6 with a rookie quarterback and a roster that needs help across the board. Having already traded Uche and Matthew Judon, there are numerous indicators that the Pats may not be finished selling ahead of the deadline.

Jonathan Jones may be the team’s most tradable asset. He’s in the final year of his current contract, and at the age of 31 Jones may be seeking more security next season than the rebuilding Patriots would be willing to provide him.

The Chiefs could use a player with his experience and talent the rest of the way in 2024, for sure. And it probably wouldn’t take more than a Day 3 pick to make this trade.

Marshon Lattimore, New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints should also be sellers ahead of the 2024 NFL trade deadline. After winning their first two games by a combined 72 points, the Saints have dropped six straight and have a salary-cap situation brewing next year that is going to take a ton of work to fix.

Marshon Lattimore, who was the subject of trade rumors throughout the offseason, is one of the top players who could be moved before next Tuesday’s deadline. He was disgruntled with the franchise after the 2023 season, and Saints general manager Mickey Loomis recently made it clear he’ll “never say never” about trading someone.

Tre’Davious White, Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams recently made a public declaration that Tre’Davious White is welcome to seek a trade. The 29-year-old former First-Team All-Pro simply hasn’t gotten many opportunities to hit the field for the Rams this season, appearing in four games.

If the Chiefs strike out with Jones, Lattimore, or another preferred target before the NFL trade deadline, they could probably land White for a bargain. He is well past his prime and has allowed the second-most yards in zone coverage this year. But the Chiefs love to press opposing receivers, which remains White’s best skill.
