NFL Fans Send Love and Prayers: How a Player is Coping After Losing His Young Daughter

Prayers are pouring in for an NFL player after the death of his 1-year-old daughter this week.

Amani Joy Ward, the 1-year-old daughter of San Francisco 49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward, has passed away. She had tragically dealt with health problems since her birth in 2022. She passed away earlier this week, as announced by her parents.

“She was the best blessing we could have asked for, and her joyous spirit made us smile from ear to ear. She taught us to have patience, trust, and a positive outlook on life. She showed us true strength and bravery. She overcame adversity at a young age and was always happy, lighting up every room with her smile,” Charvarius and Monique Ward said. “Having the privilege of being her parents and seeing the world through her eyes has changed us for the better. She will forever be daddy’s best friend and mommy’s little girl. We’ll miss you and love you forever, Amani Joy.”

NFL fans are praying for the Ward family.

“The 49ers family is devastated by the sudden passing of Charvarius Ward’s beloved one-year-old daughter, Amani Joy. Amani truly embodied pure happiness and brought joy to all those around her with her sweet demeanor and contagious laugh,” the team said. “We will continue to grieve with Charvarius and Monique, while sending them our love and support during this unimaginable time.”

NFL fans added similar thoughts.

“Incredibly sad news. Prayers and condolences for Charvarius and Monique Ward and their entire family,” one fan added.

“I’m so sorry for Charvarius Ward and his family. What a tragedy,” one reporter added.

“My heart hurts for Charvarius Ward man. I can’t even imagine what him and his family are going through right now,” one fan added. “Having a nine month old myself and a ten month niece, I can’t even fathom/comprehend the pain. I have a knot in my chest.”

The 49ers, 4-4 on the season, are currently on a bye week. Hopefully Ward has been able to spend a lot of time with his friends and family members this week.
