“Injury Report: Steelers Defense Strengthened by Positive News for Three Players!”

Three Pittsburgh Steelers defensive backs who were all questionable leading up to the team’s against the New York Giants are listed without an injury designation and will play aginst the Giants on Monday.

Cornerback Donte Jackson (shoulder) and safeties DeShon Elliott (back) and Damontae Kazee (ankle) all logged full practices on Saturday. That means the Steelers will have a fully healthy secondary, even with some injuries causing players to be limited.

Jackson is battling an AC joint sprain, which forced him to miss the second half of the team’s game against the Jets. However, the injury is almost all about pain tolerance, and there is little fear that he will make it worse. So, he will play through it and rest through the week of bye.

Head coach Mike Tomlin did not mention Elliott‘s back injury on Tuesday, but concerns rose when he missed Thursday’s practice. However, the injury is minor, and he is okay. Kazee has missed the last two games after rolling his ankle against the Dallas Cowboys, but his return will give the Steelers all three top safeties in their rotation.
