“Game Day Preview: Chiefs Gear Up for Showdown with Buccaneers in Kansas City!”

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to honor American Indian Heritage Month as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Kansas City for Monday Night Football.

The Kansas City Chiefs say the organization is ready to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, Nov. 4. In honor of American Indian Heritage Month, the Buddy Bond Color Guard of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma will present the colors.

A Kansas native and contestant on the 22nd season of The Voice, Justin Aaron, a paraeducator from Junction City, is expected to sing the National Anthem.

Also in honor of American Indian Heritage Month, Chiefs officials indicated that the First Pass will be thrown by Chairman Darwin Kaskaske of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma and his wife Mary Thorpe of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe.

Organization leaders noted that Geoge Levi and the Singers of the Cheyenne and Arapaho are set to perform the blessing of the drum and honor the song. The Blessing of the Four Directions will be led by Chief Alan Fletcher of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma.

Lastly, the Chiefs said the Tribute to the Troops honoree has been named Allen Redbird Jr. of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma while the hometown Hero honor goes to Chairperson Timothy Rhodd of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.

Arrowhead Stadium parking lots are expected to open at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, however, heavy delays are expected along I-435 and I-70 around the Truman Sports Complex due to rush-hour traffic.

Organization officials noted that gates to the stadium are set to open at 5 p.m. with kickoff at 7:15 p.m. GEHA will provide GEHA Feild-brand beanies at all stadium gates while supplies last.
