BREAKING : Multiple Steelers Receive Huge Honors in October

The Pittsburgh Steelers will keep their lead in the AFC North during their bye week in Week 9.
Pittsburgh was able to gain the top spot in the division after going 3-1 in the month of October with two different starting quarterbacks.
Following their strong month, two Steelers players received big honors from the NFL.
Kicker Chris Boswell was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month, and cornerback Beanie Bishop was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month.
For Boswell, this is the second-straight month now that he has earned Special Teams Player of the Month honors, as continues a near-perfect season. He had previously earned the honor one other time in December of 2015. In October, Boswell went 12-for-12 on field goal attempts and 10-for-10 on extra point attempts. He is currently second in the league in points with 85, and has missed just one kick all season.
Meanwhile, Bishop, an undrafted rookie from West Virginia, earned Defensive Rookie of the Month Honors for the first time this season. Bishop had three interceptions in two games last month, with two of them coming on back-to-back drives against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
“Can’t say enough about young Beanie Bishop,” said Coach Mike Tomlin after the gane. “That’s an awesome evening for him to get his first two interceptions versus a Gold Jacket guy like Aaron Rodgers. The situations aren’t too big for him, and he’s learned, and he’s open to learning.”
