Following the win, Bosa felt himself, crashing Brock Purdy’s postgame interview while wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat, the campaign slogan for presidential hopeful Donald J. Trump. Bosa’s postgame antics were criticized, with former ESPN personality Bomani Jones taking aim at the superstar, bashing him for becoming sheepish with the media when pressed about wearing the hat. “Somebody asked him about it (wearing a MAGA hat postgame) at the press conference after the game, and you putting on for Trump. What do you mean you aren’t going to talk too much about it, partner? You made that call. You did this. You brought us here. You decided that you wanted to put that out there, and ‘it is an important time.’
On the media end, it becomes important to ask people questions when they ask for attention. He wanted the attention. Give it to him. I’m not telling that man to ‘shut up and rush the passer.’ Speak up, playboy.”

On the field, Bosa wore a white-on-gold MAGA hat while crashing a postgame interview with teammates Brock Purdy and George Kittle.
