BREAKING: “Welcome Back! Steelers CB Reinstated by NFL After Eight-Game Suspension! 🙌🏈”

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cam Sutton has been reinstated from suspension by the NFL, according to the league wire. The NFL has given the Steelers a roster exemption through November 4, meaning that Sutton will not count against the 53-man roster until next Monday.

During the offseason, Sutton was suspended eight games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Stemming from an arrest in March in Hillsborough County, Florida, Sutton was hit with a felony domestic violence charge that was later reduced to a misdemeanor.

Sutton enrolled in a pre-trial diversion program. Following his arrest, the Detroit Lions released him, and the Steelers signed him during OTAs.

Sutton has been around the facility for several weeks, but has been unable to practice due to the suspension. He will now have a chance to return to football activities and will likely be active against the Washington Commanders coming out of the bye week.

The Steelers have started undrafted free agent Beanie Bishop in his place. Bishop has three interceptions in his last two games. It is unclear if Sutton will start in the slot over Bishop.
