Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has shed new light on the car accident involving his family ahead of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Jones and his loved ones were traveling to Levi’s Stadium, where Cowboys faced San Francisco, when one of their cars was struck by a rising barricade.
The 82-year-old’s children, Charlotte Jones Anderson and Jerry Jones Jr., as well as his grandson, Shy Anderson Jr. are said to have been traveling in the vehicle.
Jerry Jr. suffered a concussion, while Charlotte was said to have hurt her rib. On Tuesday, the billionaire revealed how the barricade ‘busted all of the frame. Everything.’
He told ‘Shan & RJ’ on his weekly radio interview: ‘It (was) a tremendous force, like a small explosion had gone off under there.’

Both Charlotte and Jerry Jr. were reportedly examined by the team’s medical staff, with Jones admitting on Tuesday that his daughter ‘wasn’t feeling as good as she hoped’ but that his son ‘is feeling better’.
Jerry Jr. is chief sales and marketing officer and a co-owner, while Charlotte is chief brand officer and co-owner. Anderson, Charlotte’s son, is a scouting assistant for the team.
The Cowboys owner was traveling in another vehicle in the caravan with his eldest son Stephen, who acts as the team’s executive vice president, CEO, and director of player personnel.
Jones has been married to Eugenia Jones, 79, for 61 years, and they have three children, Stephen, 60, Jerry Jr., 55, and Charlotte Jones Anderson, 58.
