As Election Day Nears, Critics Call Nick Bosa’s Actions ‘Cowardly’!

Nick Bosa flashed his political leanings live on NBC last weekend, but the San Francisco 49ers star pass rusher isn’t saying much about it right now.

The 49ers topped the Cowboys, 30-24, last weekend. San Francisco improved to 4-4 on the year with the win. Following the game, NBC’s Melissa Stark interviewed 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end George Kittle and running back Isaac Guerendo. While Bosa wasn’t being interviewed by Stark, he chose to crash the postgame interview set anyway. Bosa flashed his white and gold “Make America Great Again” hat on the air. Following the game, Bosa was asked about it by reporters. He didn’t elaborate on his political thoughts, despite boasting them for all to see on NBC.

“I’m not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,” Bosa told reporters postgame.

Bosa, who is expected to be fined for his postgame stunt, had the guts to flash a hat live on the air, though he couldn’t elaborate on his reasons for it. If you’re going to announce your political leanings for all to see, you should probably be able to explain why you feel that way.

Case, in point: LeBron James.

LeBron announced his endorsement for Kamala Harris this week. He spoke at length about his decision when prodded by NBA reporters.

“So having a daughter, having a wife, mother, things of that nature that she believes in when it comes to women’s rights and when it comes to the future of my kids and where I see where our country should be, I feel like that endorsement is only right,” James told reporters in the locker room.

“’And come on, I mean, you guys know me. I damn sure wasn’t going the other way.”

Bosa, meanwhile, didn’t say anything. Jemele Hill is ripping the 49ers star for his cowardly move.

“Oh look, LeBron was asked about a public political statement that he made and he explained IN DETAIL why he did it. Nick Bosa doesn’t have the guts to do this,” she wrote.

It’s OK if you want to keep your opinions to yourself, but if that’s the case, you probably shouldn’t be flashing a Make America Great Again hat live on the air.
